About me

I am a Junior Psychology major at Hendrix College. I grew up in University City, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. I am blogging for the first time to keep in touch with my family and friends while I spend the semester studying at the University of Ghana.

Everyone asks me “Why Ghana?” and really, it’s a tough question. I felt drawn to study in Ghana because

  • My classmates and professors will all speak English
  • I am interested in exploring a different culture despite my language ineptitude
  • It’s warm and on the coast

Those are really the only answers I have besides “I just feel like it!” Hopefully this blog will convey, through stories and pictures, why Ghana.
